On February 27th, weather permitting, the
Miawpukek Economic Development Department will
be sponsoring Annual "Ride to the Mountain".
There is a
registration fee of $10.00 per snowmobile.
You can register by calling Conne River Gas Bar at 882-2731. Those who register BEFORE Saturday Evening are eligible to receive a $0.03/liter discount on their gas at Conne River Gas Bar.
You can also register Sunday morning at the park entrance before the trip begins, between 9:00 am and 10:00 am. However, you will not qualify for the gas discount once you are on site.

This year, all registration fees collected will go towards the development of Daffodil Place. Daffodil Place will be a home away from home for people and their families who have to travel to St. John’s for Cancer treatment. The purpose of this facility is to help ease the financial burden of a cancer diagnosis for people who live in Newfoundland and Labrador but must travel to St. John's for treatment and to provide a support system for them.
This years route will take us to Medonnegonix
lodge and then on to Mount Sylvester. We
will then follow the same route back to the
lodge for a hot meal. Once refreshed we
will return to our departure point.
At the lodge you can relax, enjoy the great
outdoors, and try some ice fishing.

You are required to get your own Snowmobile to the departure point at least one hour before the departure time. This is to ensure that we are all there together, we can have discussions about the days event, and address any concerns before we leave.
The player will show in this paragraph
Please bring any personal supplies you may need for the whole day. Once we depart on our trip we will not be returning until later that afternoon.
